Public Finance Management (PFM) is about
ensuring that public resources are used effectively. A sound PFM
system is a precondition for long-term and sustainable poverty
reduction. It enables the country to manage its own development and
is a prerequisite for a well-informed and transparent allocation of
public resources.
SIPU International is the leading Swedish PFM consultant,
providing policy analysis and assistance to both donors and
beneficiary countries. Whereas we remain a major supplier of PFM
services to the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida),
SIPU is also to an increasing extent undertaking PFM-projects
financed by other donors such as the European Union, the World Bank
and DFID.
SIPU International possesses significant in-house
expertise, as well as an excellent network of experts in
most specializations relating to PFM. In addition, we are
cooperating with several state bodies that are crucial for Sweden's
PFM system, thereby being able to offer peer-to-peer learning and
experience sharing to developing countries.
